Slacken poly-V belt (10) and remove from belt pulley (11) for alternator with LIN bus (G2/7)

Lift/jack up vehicle

Remove bolts (14) and bracket (15)

Remove carrier for 2nd refrigerant compressor

Detach charge air hose (7) at turbocharger (3)

Close off connectors on charge air hose (7) and on turbocharger (3) using protective covers

Disconnect electrical connector (4) on AC generator with the LIN bus (G2/7)

Detach protective cap (12), unscrew nut (6) and remove electrical line (5) from alternator with the LIN bus (G2/7)

Remove bolt (8) from bracket (2)

Remove upper bolts (9), unclip bracket (2) on the retaining clamp (13) and remove bracket (2)

Installation: Tighten down upper and lower bolts (9).

Remove upper bolts (9) and alternator with LIN bus (G2/7) downwards

Installation: Only screw in lower bolts (9).

Checking

Check contact surface and freewheel of the belt pulley (11) for damage

Freewheel only for vehicles without code (MJ7) ECO Start. For damage to the belt pulley (11):

Vehicles without code (MJ7) ECO Start:

Replace belt pulley (11) for alternator with LIN bus (G2/7).
