Turn transmitter key in EIS [EZS] control unit to position "0" and remove

To prevent unintentional starting of the engine.

Unclip air intake pipe (2) from air filter housing (3) and place to one side

Loosen hose clamp (4)

Lift/jack up vehicle

Unscrew bolts (5) and pull off charge air pipe (6) from compressor (7)

Fasten charge air pipe (6) to the underfloor. Close off the openings with a rag.

Loosen poly-V belt (1)

Remove poly-V belt (1)

Installation: Put poly-V belt (1) in place according to the routing diagram.

Checking

Check belt pulley profile, guide pulleys and clamping device

Installation: Replace belt pulley profile, guide pulleys and clamping device in case of damage.

Check poly-V belt (1) for wear and damage

Installation: Replace poly-V belt (1) if necessary.

Install in the reverse order

Danger!

Secure vehicle to prevent it from moving by itself.
Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes.
Do not touch hot or rotating parts.
