Open engine hood and raise to vertical position

Remove partition wall between wheelhouses

Disconnect ground line from battery

 Insulate clamping device of the ground line in order to prevent inadvertent contact with the ground point of the battery.

Remove left and right suction fan duct

Remove front engine cover

Partially remove poly-V belt (3)

Remove bolts (1) and lay alternator (G2) to the side with attached lines



Remove chain tensioner (6) from timing case cover (5)

 Installation: Replace seal (7).



Install in the reverse order

Read out fault memory and erase if necessary
