Danger! | Risk of death caused by vehicle slipping or toppling off the lifting platform. | Align vehicle between columns of vehicle lift and position four support plates at vehicle lift support points specified by vehicle manufacturer. | |
1 | Remove transmission | ||
2 | Install retaining lock for crankshaft (5) | ||
3 | Remove bolt (3) | Installation: Replace bolts because the connection may loosen and the bolts may shear off if they are used again. | |

4 | Remove flex plate (2) | Installation: The flex-plate must be installed back into the same position as the bulging caused by the bolts may generate an incorrect torque and the bolts may work loose. | |
5 | Remove drive plate (1) | Installation: The cylinder pin (4) determines the installation position. | |
6 | Install in the reverse order | ||
7 | Perform default initialization | After replacing the clutch plate (1). | |
Connect STAR-DIAGNOSIS and select menu item for control unit adaptations in ME control unit. | |||
| Connect STAR DIAGNOSIS and read out fault memory | ||
8 | Perform sensor adaptation | After replacing the clutch plate (1). | |
Put back sensor adaptation of crankshaft position sensor (L5). Afterwards accelerate sensor adaptation of crankshaft position sensor (L5). |
