Slacken off poly-V-belt and remove from refrigerant compressor (A9)

Disconnect plug (1) from refrigerant compressor (A9)

Detach pressure-side refrigerant line (A) and intake-side refrigerant line (K) from refrigerant compressor (A9)



Compressor oils (specification 362.1)

 Installation: Replace sealing rings and moisten with compressor fluid.

 Bolt, refrigerant line to refrigerant compressor

Seal off refrigerant line on pressure side (A), refrigerant line on intake side (K) and openings on refrigerant compressor (A9) using stop plugs

 Record plug

Remove screws/bolts and remove refrigerant compressor (A9) downwards



Compressor oils (specification 362.1)

 Screw/bolt, A/C compressor to crankcase

If a new refrigerant compressor (A9) is installed.



Drain compressor oil from new refrigerant compressor (A9). Determine remaining quantity of compressor oil that remained in removed refrigerant compressor (A9) and fill new compressor oil according to determined remaining quantity in new refrigerant compressor (A9).



If the refrigerant compressor (A9) is replaced because of internal damage.



Remove expansion valve of air conditioning system and, if necessary, of roof-mounted air conditioning system, and clean thoroughly.
