Remove

Raise vehicle.

Thoroughly clean oil pan (4) and surrounding area.

Drain and collect transmission oil from oil pan (4).

 Do not yet screw in drain screw.

Remove screws (2) and remove sprags (6) and oil pan (4).

Remove seal (5).

 Dispose of seal (5).

Remove magnets (8) from oil pan (4).

Remove detached overflow pipe (3) from oil pan (4).



Clean

Clean sealing surfaces on transmission housing (1).

Clean oil pan (4).

When reusing oil pan (4).

Clean overflow pipe (3).

Clean magnets (8).

Check

Check overflow pipe (3) for damage.

If corresponding findings are present,



Replace overflow pipe (3).



Install

Attach overflow pipe (3) flush on flange (arrow) on oil pan (4).

Install magnets (8) into oil pan (4).

Attach new seal (5) to oil pan (4).

Attach oil pan (4) with sprags (6) and screws (2) to transmission housing (1).

The sprags (6) are only permitted for transmission 722.9 and may not be interchanged with the sprags (6) of other transmissions.
Otherwise corrosion damage can occur.
