Remove automatic transmission

Remove starter

Insert retaining lock (2) into starter opening

  Allow retaining lock (2) to engage in the clutch plate (1) ring gear; turn engine at the belt pulley with vibration damper in direction of engine rotation if necessary.

Remove bolts (5)

 Installation: Replace bolts (5).



Remove retaining lock (2)

Remove drive plate (1)

 Installation: Check clutch plate (1) ring gear for damage; replace clutch plate (1) if necessary.

The cylinder pin (3) determines the installation location of drive plate (1).

Install in the reverse order

Carry out initialization

 Only if the clutch plate (1) has been replaced.

Use STAR DIAGNOSIS in menu item "Control Unit Adaptations" to perform initialization.



Connect STAR DIAGNOSIS and read out fault memory
