1 | Remove cylinder head cover | ||
2 | Remove vacuum pump | ||
3 | Remove high-pressure pump (1) | ||
4 | Remove screws (2) | Screw/bolt, front cover to cylinder head | |
5 | Unfasten front cover (3) from cylinder head (4) using a suitable tool and remove | ||

The front cover (3) must not tilt while being unfastened. | |||
Installation: Clean sealing surface and coat sealing surface of front cover (3) with sealant. | |||
Sealant, Loctite 5970, 50 ml | |||

6 | Carefully lift the retaining pawl and remove the slide rail (5) from the front cover (3) | Only when replacing front cover (3). | |
7 | Install in the reverse order | ||

Risk of injury (bruises and burns) resulting from working on the engine while it is being started or when it is running. | Secure vehicle to prevent it from starting off by itself. Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes. Do not touch hot or rotating parts. | |
8 | Perform engine test run and check engine in area around front cover (3) for leaktightness |
