2 Brake booster vacuum line

Remove/install

Unscrew bolt (3)

Only with engines 646.984/985/986

Detach vacuum line of brake booster (2) at the vacuum pump (1)

Squeeze catches (arrows) together and detach brake booster vacuum line (2).

Remove bolts of vacuum pump (1) and remove with bracket (4)

The bracket (4) is only removed on engines 646.984/985/986.

The vacuum pump (1) is fastened with two bolts.

Remove vacuum pump (1).

Installation: Replace sealing rings of vacuum pump (1) and align drive plate.

Install in the reverse order

Risk of accident caused by vehicle starting off by itself when engine is running. Risk of injury caused by contusions and burns during starting procedure or when working near the engine as it is running

Secure vehicle to prevent it from moving by itself.
Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes.
Do not touch hot or rotating parts.

Carry out engine test run and check engine in the area of the vacuum pump (1) for leaks
