Remove/install

Turn off ignition

 Danger

Risk of fire/risk of explosion due to short circuit and escaping oxyhydrogen gas. Risk of (burn) injury caused by caustic burns to eyes, skin and mucous membranes from battery electrolyte/mist, short circuit and arcing. Risk of poisoning caused by swallowing battery electrolyte or absorption of lead through the skin or body orifices. Risk of death due to voltage U >= 30 V AC and U >= 60 V DC.

No fires, sparks, open flames, or smoking. Wear acid-resistant gloves, clothing, and glasses. Pour battery acid only into suitable and appropriately marked containers.

Open the maintenance door

Remove the decorative grille (1)

Remove the air intake pipe (2)

Remove the cover (6) from the connectors housing, cab chassis (5)

 Installation: The cover (6) must be hermetically adjusted to the housing for connectors, cab chassis (5).

Separate the electrical conductor (3) and the cab chassis connectors (X2.1, X2.2 and X2.3) from the connector housing, cab chassis (5)

Release the engine electric wiring harness (4) and move it down so it does not get entangled at cab tilting

 Danger

Risk of injury caused by body parts being pinched or crushed as cab is tilted

During cab tilting forward and backward, do not get in the inclination area and take preventive measures to stop unauthorized people from approaching the area. Alway incline the cab to its final position and latch it with the safety device.Engine 906.9 in model 958

Remove the engine electric wiring harness (4) from the chassis right side rail and secure it to the engine

Install in reverse order

Set the clock and synchronize the tachograph
