Slacken poly V-belt

Swivel poly V-belt tensioning device to one side

Detach vacuum line (5) from vacuum pump (3)

Remove vacuum pump (3)

Loosen and tighten the combination bolts (4) evenly.

If piston vacuum pump (Pierburg) is fitted, crank engine at crankshaft if necessary until plunger of vacuum pump is relieved of load.

Installation: Clean the sealing surfaces and install a new seal (2) and sealing ring.

Pay attention to driver

If the vacuum pump has been replaced following bearing damage, carefully remove all bearing fragments.
