When replacing the radiator or the heater core on vehicles with code B3H (Secondary water retarder), the coolant must always be replaced. Using the old coolant again may mean that the coolant does not remain stable up to the time of the next coolant change interval, and - in the worst case - the engine cooling system may then suffer sludging. Replacing the coolant helps to prevent this.
