Washer nozzles and washer nozzle hose heaters, function
The washer nozzle heaters (R2/1) and washer nozzle hose heaters (R2/11) are switched on automatically when:
Circuit 61 on (engine: on) and
an outside temperature of less than 5 °C is detected.
Switch off is accomplished automatically when:
Circuit 61 off (engine: off) or
an outside temperature greater than 8 °C is detected.
If the values are missing or implausible (outside temperature, circuit 61) the washer nozzle heater (R2/1) and the
washer nozzle hose heater (R2/11) are not actuated.
Actuation of heating elements
The heating elements of the washer nozzle heater (R2/1) and the washer nozzle hose heater (R2/11) are switched in parallel.
The washer nozzle heater (R2/1) and the washer nozzle hose heater (R2/11) are actuated directly by the front SAM control unit with fuse and relay module (N10/1). In this case, the front SAM control unit with fuse and relay module (N10/1) switches term. 30 onto the heating elements.
Required data
The outside temperature is recorded by the outside temperature indicator temperature sensor (B14). The front SAM control unit with fuse and relay module (N10/1) directly reads in the sensor.
The status of circuit 61 of the alternator (G2) is read in directly by the front SAM control unit with fuse and relay module (N10/1).
