GF67.39-P-2001GD | Overload protection, function | 26.3.97 |
MODEL 168 with CODE (236) Power windows (front and rear doors)
The power window motors are protected against an overload by
a lockup recognition and
a software heat protection feature
programmed into each door control module
(N69/1, N69/2, N69/3, N69/4).
Lock-up recognition
Two hall sensors are located on each power window motor allowing the corresponding door control module to recognize the rotary motion of the motor.
If a power window switch is pressed and the door control module does not recognize the rotary motion, the power window motor is switched off after approx. 0.5 s.
Software heat protection feature
The door control modules calculate the temperature of the associated power window motor.
After reaching the switch-off threshold the function presently being performed is completed and actuation of the power window motor is then interrupted.
When the door control reaches the switch-off threshold during the "Pinch protection" function, this is ignored until the return procedure is completed.
