Structure

1 Cylinder (20.04)

2 Piston

3 Actuation rod

4 Shock absorbing rod

a Supply pressure

b Control pressure

Operation

When the ignition key is turned off, the engine stop electropneumatic valve (33.01), the air, under pressure, which comes from the four circuit protective valve (4.03) pushes piston (2) inside the pneumatic cylinder (1) moving the actuation rod (3) in the idle speed direction until the engine stop.

The purpose of the rod (4) is to damp the injector pump mechanism during the deceleration.
