Defect

Cause

Solution

Pilot lamp electrical part:

It doesn't light up after the contact switch has been connected

- Lack of electric supply

- Defective relay K15

- Defective electronic module

- Defective thermal sensor (19)

- Interrupted electrical wiring or short-circuit

- Check electrical part.

- Check relay.

- Check electronic module.

- Replace thermal sensor.

- Repair electrical wiring.

It doesn't remain lit during the 20-second time or it remains lit after this time

- Damaged timer on the electronic module

- Damaged thermal sensor (19)

- Check timer electronic part.

- Check the engine thermal sensor operation.

Heating glow plug (18): It doesn't heat

- Lack of electric supply

- Poor, insufficient supply current

- Defective heating glow plug (18)

- Check the cause.

- Check wiring and possible short-circuits. Measure electric values.

- Replace heating glow plug.

Fuel supply Electromagnetic valve (3): It doesn't receive fuel pressure or the pressure is insufficient

-Hollow screw (16) with clogged dosing orifice

- Loose or damaged pipeline (12)

- Check the fuel passage on the hollow screw.

- Check the state of the fuel filters.

- Check pipeline and tighten the connections or replace them.

Valve (3) receives electrical current normally, but it doesn't perform the switching

- Deficiency on the valve's electromagnetic activation (3)

- Replace the whole valve (3).

Valve (3) receives fuel pressure, the electrical supply is normal, but it doesn't inject fuel

- Deficiency on the mechanical parts of the valve (3)

- Replace the whole valve (3).

Fuel injector (11) assembly: Solenoid valve (3) is in order, but the injector assembly (4) doesn't spray or do it deficiently

- Injector assembly (4) with saturated filter or deformed spray orifice

- Replace injector assembly (4) and check the state of the combustion chamber.

Cold start causes smoke during start

- Glow plug doesn't heat enough

- Defective glow plug (18)

- Injector changed (4)

- Check the supply voltage and the amperage.

- Replace glow plug (18)

- Replace injector assembly. (4).
