Function
The combustion engine control unit specifies the specified value for the flap setting using the pulse width modulated signal. The signal is evaluated by the integrated electronics. The DC motor pushes the adjusting lever into the corresponding position. The potentiometer serves as an angle sensor, so that a specified / actual value comparison of the adjusting lever position takes place. In the event of any malfunction or break in the supply voltage, the spring acts on the control lever to return it to its rest position. The flaps are open in the reclining position.
