Only when replacing sound system amplifier (N40/3) and if it can still be read out with STAR DIAGNOSIS

Connect STAR DIAGNOSIS and read out fault memory

Remove front seat (1) on driver side and set down next to vehicle

It is not necessary to remove the seat belt from the front seat!

Unclip upper section from B-pillar paneling and remove until bottom section of B-pillar paneling is accessible, then unclip bottom section from B-pillar paneling and remove.

Remove cover (2) from cargo retainers (4).

Unscrew bolt (3), remove cargo retainers (4) and cover (5)

Installation: Insert cargo retainers (4) with arresting lug properly.

Fold floor covering over until nuts (6) on air duct are accessible

Unscrew nuts (6) and remove air duct (7)

Disconnect electrical connectors (8) from sound system amplifier (N40/3)

Cover fiber optic cable using suitable means.

Unscrew nuts (9) and remove sound system amplifier (N40/3) with bracket (10)

Unscrew bolts (11) and remove bracket (10) from sound system amplifier (N40/3)

Install in the reverse order

Code amplifier for sound system (N40/3)

Only when installing new sound system amplifier (N40/3).

Connect STAR DIAGNOSIS and read out fault memory
