Remove tilting/sliding roof paneling

Only when replacing tilting/sliding roof frame (1).

Only when replacing tilting/sliding roof frame (1).

Remove paneling from both upper A-pillars

Remove paneling from both B-pillars

Remove paneling from both C-pillars

Move backrests of both front seats to inclined position

Lay protective covers on center console at front and rear

Remove headliner

 Do not remove windshield. Lay headliner as far as possible in rear of vehicle with electric wiring harnesses connected

Remove water drain hoses (3) from corners on tilting/sliding roof frame (1)

 Do not damage water drain hoses (3). Otherwise water can leak in and cause damage

Insert assembly pliers (4) into tilting/sliding roof frame (1)



Unscrew bolts (5)

Unscrew nuts (6)



Remove both assembly pliers (4) simultaneously and remove tilting/sliding roof frame (1) from vehicle

 Remove both assembly pliers (4) simultaneously to prevent damage to tilting/sliding roof frame (1)

 Helper required

Install in the reverse order

 Installation: When replacing tilting/sliding roof frames (1) use new seal (7) and transfer SR motor (M12m1)
