Unclip and remove upper window frame lining and side window frame lining

Loosen bolts (1) from left and right door hinge

Loosen bolts (3) at locking eye (2)

Screw in stop (4) on the left and right side of the rear-end door

Adjust rear-end door at the hinges

 The top edge of the rear-end door must be flush with the outer skin of the roof (Y) and side panel edges (N, P). Adhere to the gap dimensions simultaneously, see:



Tighten bolts (1) on the hinges

 Rectify paint damage at the screw heads using a suitable touch-up paint pen.



Adjust tailgate by moving striker eye (2)

 The rear-end door must be flush with the edge of the bumper (Z). Adhere to the gap dimensions simultaneously, see:



Adjust the left and right side of the stop (4) on the rear-end door

 Minimum deviations of the rear-end door to the rear fender can be adjusted by adjusting the stop.

Check the air gap between the rear-end door and obstruction sensor strip throughout the entire length of the obstruction sensor strip

 Only on vehicles with automatic rear-end door, code 890.

 If there is no airgap, the function of the automatic rear-end door is not guaranteed.

 Check air gap: Pull through a strong piece of paper over the entire length between the obstruction sensor strip and rear-end door.

 On both sides of vehicle.
