Remove air ducts from air conditioning (roof equipment)

Unfasten front roof lining (2) and allow to hang down on front overhead control panel

 Do not remove overhead control panel from front roof lining (2).

 Do not remove seat belt end fittings of seat belts on respective front seat. Set down B-pillar trims on front seats.

Remove both corner pillar trims

Remove sealing frame of sliding door in area of rear roof lining section (1.1)

 Installation: Ensure that sealing frame is seated correctly.

Remove rear roof lining section (1.1)

 Remove guides (5) from body for this purpose.

Carefully lower rear roof lining section (1.2) and remove guides (8) from body.
This prevents damage to rear roof lining section (1.2).

Carefully lower rear roof lining section (1.3) and remove guides (11) from body.
This prevents damage to rear roof lining section (1.3).

When replacing rear roof lining section (1.4).

Cut new rear roof lining sections (1.1, 1.2, 1.3, 1.4) according to the pre-punched cutting lines using a suitable tool (e.g. a hacksaw blade)

When replacing rear roof lining sections (1.1, 1.2, 1.3, 1.4).

 Depending on the equipment variant, provide the new rear roof lining sections (1.1, 1.2, 1.3, 1.4) with additional cutouts.



Check all retaining clips (3, 6, 10) for damage

For damage



Replace respective retaining clip (3, 6, 10).

Check all expansion rivets (4, 7, 9, 12, 13, 14) for damage

For damage



Replace respective expansion rivets (4, 7, 9, 12, 13, 14).

Install in the reverse order


