	Removing
1	Remove wheels at rear axle		AR40.10-D-1100A
2	Push back brake pads and release hand brake	 If it is not possible to crank the rear axle shafts by hand: 
		Detach rear brake cables	AR42.20-D-0520-03A
3	Drain oil at rear axle center assembly
	Rear axle - oil change		AP35.00-D-3501B
4	Remove propeller shaft at joint flange (3)
5	Spin join flange (3) by hand and check axial play of bearing	 The bearing must be free of play If there is play or if there are particles (shavings) in the drained oil, replace the gear set and the bearing in the rear axle center assembly: 
		Remove drive pinion and crown wheel with differential	AR35.30-D-4815E
6	Measure and note down friction torque at drive pinion flange	 Measure friction value at approx. 50 rpm.

8	Remove both radial seals (4)
	Install
9	Install radial seals (4)	 Pack space between dust lip and sealing lip with multipurpose grease. Coat outer circumference of seals with sealant. Do not smear partially-rubberized sealing rings with sealing compound.	AR35.30-D-4670-02A

10	Install joint flange at drive pinion		AR35.30-D-4670-03A

		 If, after the initial torque of the collar nut there is still play in the bearing of the drive pinion, or after adjustment the friction torque is not 0.1 - 0.2 Nm above the noted value, the compression ring must be replaced. Never correct friction torque by turning back collar nut.
		Remove/install drive pinion and crown wheel with differential.	AR35.30-D-4815E

13	Pour in oil at rear axle center assembly
	Rear axle - oil change		AP35.00-D-3501B
14	Fit wheels at rear axle		AR40.10-D-1100A
15	Operate brake pedal several times until brake pads contact brake discs (brake pressure built up).	If necessary according to the extent of removal: 
		Hook in rear brake cables.
		Adjust parking brake	AR42.20-D-0540A
