Remove

Detach the propeller shaft from the rear axle flange (3)

Type 958.4

AR41.10-W-0050A

Type 963

AR41.10-W-0050H

 Secure the propeller shaft with fixing belts to prevent that it falls.

Remove the collar nut (1) and the O-ring (2)

Always shear completely the pinion nut lock (1).
Otherwise, a little rag of the lock can damage the thread of the shaft when screwing the pinion nut (1).

Remove the flange (3)

 Puller

Remove the O-ring (2)

Remove the radial shaft sealing ring (5) from the differential housing



Check

Check the sealing surface of the flange (3) for wear signs of the radial shaft sealing ring (5).

If there are signs of wear:



Replace the drive flange (3).



Install

Install a new radial shaft sealing ring (5) in the differential housing
