| Remove the screw and lock plate (5) from the threaded ring of pinion (2)
| Remove the threaded ring (2) from its housing | In order not to damage the flange deflector, unscrew threaded ring a few turns and then move pinion away, by tapping in its end with a gentle mandrel. Do it until unscrewing completely the threaded ring.

| Screw temporarily two screws in the coupling flange (1), by holding the threaded ring (2) against the external bearing cover (3) | Do not remove the pinion without tightening screws against the threaded ring, because this feature will prevent the bipartite ring (4) falls into the oil groove existing in the housing.
| Remove the pinion housing by tapping on its end with a gentle mandrel

| Install the internal race of cylindrical roller bearings (7)
| Install some compensating washers (6) on the pinion housing inside the housing
| Install both screws temporarily on the coupling flange (1) used to remove and tighten the pinion set
| Install the pinion set by tapping slightly until the threaded ring leans against the front face and screw it manually | Put previously the plastic bush in the internal race of cylindrical roller bearings (7) to avoid damages on the bearing.
