Disassemble

Remove the passing axle cap (1)

AR35.30-B-0351A

Remove the radial retainer (2)

3

Remove the outer race (4) with the compensating washers (3)

 Use a press.

 Drift

Check

Check the passing axle cap (1)

If the passing axle cap (1) presents damage and/or deformations:



Replace the passing axle cap (1).

Check the bushing (5)

If the bush (5) presents excessive damage and wear:



Replace the bush (5).



Assemble

Install a new bush (5)

 Utilize an appropriate mandrel.

Adjust the axial clearance of the longitudinal differential

Clearance in the cover of the passing shaft

Install the compensator washer (3) determined with the outer raceway (4) of the tapered roller bearing

Install a new radial shaft sealing ring (2) on the longitudinal differential cap (1)

 Lightly grease the sealing lip of the radial shaft sealing ring (2).
Utilize an appropriate mandrel.

Install the passing axle cap (1)
