Align vehicle between vehicle lift columns and position the four support plates at the vehicle lift support points specified by the vehicle manufacturer.

Remove rear muffler

Place match marks on propeller shaft, vibration damper and rear axle differential flange

Remove screws going from rear propeller shaft to rear axle differential

Press propeller shaft out of rear axle differential and secure on exhaust pipe

Remove rear spring

 Only for vehicles with steel suspension.

Support rear axle carrier at lower control arm with suitable support (8)

Remove nut (7) and disconnect shock-absorber strut from lower control arm

Open brake hose holder (10) and unclip brake hose (11)

Remove threaded connection (5a) at front elastomer bearing (1)

 Always replace left or right elastomer bearings in pairs

Remove screw (4) at rear elastomer bearing (2)

Lower rear axle far enough so that the removal and insertion device (9) can be mounted


Do not relieve support (8) fully,
otherwise the threaded connection (5a) and screw (4) can damage the elastomer bearings on the opposite side of the vehicle.

Press out front elastomer bearing (1)

Raise rear axle and fasten threaded connection (5a) on front elastomer bearing (1) and screw (4) on rear elastomer bearing (2)

 Do not tilt threaded connection (5a) and screw (4) so that the threaded hole on the frame floor assembly is not damaged.

Clip brake hose (11) into brake hose holder (10) and close brake hose holder (10)

Assemble shock-absorber strut and lower control arm, remove support (8) and tighten nut (7)

 Self-locking nut, shock absorber to spring control arm

Position propeller shaft at rear axle differential and screw in screws going from rear propeller shaft to rear axle differential

 Align markings on propeller shaft, on vibration damper and rear axle differential flange with one another.
