Lift the complete vehicle by the points intended for lifting

If a ditch with equipment full vehicle lifting is available.



Place safety chocks

Lift the vehicle by both lifting points arranged on the rear frame, under the engine

If a ditch with equipment for lifting a single axle is available.



Remove the rear wheels

Drain the oil from the rear axle



Remove breather tube (9)

Depressurize the pneumatic system at the tanks

Remove the rod (1) of the height control valve

 Remove the rod (1) of the height control valves on the lower bracket without changing the regulation.

Remove the connections (10) from the flexible pipes on the combined cylinders (11)

With compressed air connection system "VOSS 230".

With "VOSS 232" (NG 8, 12) or "SCHÄFER SDF" (NG 6) connection and compressed air system.

 Installation: Check the O-Rings, if necessary, replace them.

Loosen the combined cylinders (11) relief screws by turning them totally counter-clockwise, compressing the emergency parking brake spring

Remove the pivot pins (12) from the combined cylinder (11) rods

 Installation: Install new pivot pins (12).

Remove the nuts (22) and remove the combined cylinders (11)

 Installation: Mount the cylinders in the correct position.

Remove the drive shaft (13) on the rear axle side and support it on the protective ring

Remove the nuts (21) and remove the shock absorbers (18) with the stop (20) and the washer (19)

 Remove he nuts (21) of the shock absorbers (18) only at the bottom in front and behind the axle.

 .Nuts (upper and lower) of the front and rear shock absorbers

Remove the nut (30) and remove the bolt (24) together the plates (25) the stops (26) of the torsion bar lever (23)

 Attach the torsion bar lever (23) on the upper vehicle frame.

 Installation: Replace the counter-pins in the installation.

Loosen the nuts (17) of the spring clamps (16) on the suspension brackets on both sides of the axle

Remove the bolts (6) and remove the lower tensioner bars (29)

 Installation: Tighten the 3 bolts (6) sequentially and apply a chemical lock on the bolts.

With an appropriate removal device lower the axle carefully so that the suspension bellows (4) are released on its housing

 Installation: Clean the suspension bellows (4) on the outside and inside, apply graphite grease to the upper fitting.

Remove the nuts (17) of the spring clamps (16) and remove the suspension brackets with the suspension bellows (4)

 Installation: Replace clip nuts (17) of the fastening clamps.
