 Danger !

Risk of death from lowering vehicle when working between wheels and body. Risk of injury from pinching or crushing when working on the air suspension.

Testing and repair work between the wheel and wheel arch or in the wheel well should only be performed if the vehicle is secured using suitable support fixtures to prevent it from lowering.
Adjustment operations should only be performed from underneath the vehicle.
Use only suitable support fixtures to secure the vehicle frame or vehicle axles in order to prevent them from lowering.
If necessary, additionally use suitable support fixtures in order to prevent other moving vehicle parts that are in the working area from lowering, or use suitable retaining devices to prevent these parts from moving suddenly and without warning.
Secure areas with moving vehicle parts against unauthorized access.

Remove/install

Release compressed air from air suspension system

Remove cable ties (arrows A, B, C)

Disconnect electrical connector (1)

4

Mark the installation position of the compressed air lines (2, 3, 4) at valve unit (Y10)

5

Remove compressed air lines (2, 4) from valve unit (Y10)

 Installation: Install new seals.
Observe markings.

 Air coupling at compressor, valve unit, air suspension bellows, compressed air reservoir

Close off open connections with stop plugs

 Record plug

Remove compressed air line (3) from valve unit (Y10)

 Installation: Replace seal.
Observe marking.

 Air coupling at compressor, valve unit, air suspension bellows, compressed air reservoir

Close off connections of compressed air line (3) and valve unit (Y10) with stop plugs

 Record plug

Remove bolts (5)

 Bolt, valve block to carrier

Remove valve unit (Y10) with bearing



Check

Check bearing of valve unit (Y10) for damage and wear

If damaged or worn



Replace bearing of valve unit (Y10)

Install in the reverse order



Check

Check air suspension for leaks
