Removing and installing shift forks and shift rails

Remove/install

Remove rear transmission housing

Pull out retainer (1) of reverse gear shift rail (6)

Unhook reverse gear shift rail (6), 1st and 2nd gear shift rail (7), 3rd and 4th gear shift rail (8) and 5th and 6th gear shift rail (9) and remove them in sequence

 In the process tilt the mainshaft slightly to one side.

Remove reverse gear shift fork (2), 1st and 2nd gear shift fork (3) and 3rd and 4th gear shift fork (4)

 Unhook the reverse gear shift fork (2), 1st and 2nd gear shift fork (3) and 3rd and 4th gear shift fork (4) respectively from the reverse gear shift rail (6), 1st and 2nd gear shift rail (7) and 3rd and 4th gear shift rail (8) and remove.

Unscrew both bearing bolts of the 5th and 6th gear shift fork (5) from the front transmission housing

 Installation:

Replace self-locking bearing bolts.

If the bearing bolts are not self-locking, coat the thread with sealing compound.



Pull out 5th and 6th gear shift fork (5)

Pull out sliders (10) from reverse gear shift fork (2), 1st and 2nd gear shift fork (3), 3rd and 4th gear shift fork (4) and 5th and 6th gear shift fork (5)

 Installation: Pay attention to correct seat of sliders (10). Oil the sliders (10) lightly.

Clean all parts, check for damage and wear, and replace if necessary

Install in the reverse order
