Remove the planet group

Remove the selector bar and the coupling fork from the speed reducer group

Release and remove the lock bolt (1) and remove the reverse fear intermediate gear axle (2)

 Use to remove the axle (2) a threaded rod.



Laterally displace the reverse intermediate gear (3) to allow the counter shaft (4 to leave)

Assemble the special tool on the main shaft

 Pay attention so that the tool's guide bushings fit in the selector bars. Turn the threaded flange to the right or to the left, until the device simultaneously seats on the main and counter shafts and, then, attach the device in the counter shaft.



Introduce a bolt M16 x 100 or pin in the hole indicated by the arrow, aiming to compress the lock pin (5) of the “Interlock”

 This operation can only be performed in boxes fitted with “Interlock”, and it will not be possible to remove the shaft assembly if it is not performed.

Carefully lift and remove the complete shafts assembly

 Use, for that, a “giraffe” type crane.

Remove the reverse gear from the reverse gear (3)

 Also remove the thrust washers and the rollers cage.



Install

Install the reverse speed gear (3) with the rollers cage and the thrust washers. Laterally displace the reverse gear to allow the counter shaft to be installed

 Observe that the thrust washers have folded tabs, which must fit in the bearing grooves (in the box housing).

Determine the compensating washer thickness for the clearance between the primary and main shaft

Install the primary shaft assembly on the main shaft

Assemble the selector bars with the drive forks on the coupling sleeves

 Pay attention to no assemble the drive shafts inverted.

Assemble the guide bushing in the main shaft rear end and the guide plate in the main housing rear part

Assemble the special tool on the main shaft

 Pay attention so that the tool's guide bushings fit in the selector bars. Turn the threaded flange to the right or to the left, until the device simultaneously seats on the main and counter shafts.

With the assistance of the “giraffe” type crane, lift and carefully install the complete shafts assembly

 In the installation, observe that the forks selector bars fit their housing without being forced, as well as the guide bushing must smoothly enter in the guide plate.

Remove the plate and the guide bushing

Center the intermediate gear of reverse gear (3) with the rollers cage and the thrust washers and install the reverse gear axle (2)

 Use to install the axle (2) a threaded rod.



Fit the lock bolt of the reverse gear axle and tight it with the prescribed torque

 The axle lock bolt can be reused only twice; in case of doubt, replace it.



Install the selector bar and adjust the fork of the speed reducer group
