Drain transmission oil and collect in suitable container.



Remove hydraulic pump on power take-off (1)

Vehicles with hydraulic pump

 Do not detach hydraulic lines.

 Nut, hydraulic pump to power take-off

Remove drive shaft on power take-off (1)

Vehicles with drive shaft

 Propeller shaft to power take-off

Disconnect electrical connector from power take-off 1 solenoid valve (Y8) or from power take-off 1 solenoid valve with shift lock (Y8a)

 Mark the installation location of the electrical connection.

 Installation: Observe marking of electrical connector.

Disconnect electrical connection from power take-off 1 indicator switch (S2)

 Mark the installation location of the electrical connection.

 Installation: Observe marking of electrical connector.

Detach compressed air line from shift cylinder

Remove power take-off (1)

 Installation: Clean sealing surfaces and coat with sealant.

 Screw/bolt, power take-off to transmission

Loctite 5203 sealant

Check shift teeth of the drive shaft (3) for wear and damage

 Installation: Observe installation position, see marking (arrow), of drive shaft (3).

If wear or damage is present:



Replace drive shaft (3).
