Depressurize circuit 4 of compressed-air system.

Drain transmission oil from power take-off (1).



Remove propeller shaft from power take-off (1).

Remove hydraulic pump.

 Do not separate hydraulic lines if possible, collect hydraulic fluid if necessary.

Disconnect electrical connector (10) from power take-off 1 indicator switch (S2).

 Mark the installation location of the electrical connector (10).

 Installation: Observe the marking for the electrical connector (10).

Disconnect electrical connector (11) from power take-off 1 solenoid valve (Y8) or from power take-off 1 solenoid valve with shift lock (Y8a).

 Mark the installation location of the electrical connector (11).

 Installation: Observe marking for electrical connector (11).

Detach compressed-air line (12) from power take-off 1 solenoid valve (Y8) or from power take-off 1 solenoid valve with shift lock (Y8a).

Remove power take-off (1).

 The pressure relief valve with bypass valve (8) and the pressure relief valve (9) are under tension.

 Installation: On vehicles with code N6Z (Transmission cooling), the pin (arrow A) of the pressure relief valve with bypass valve (8) must be in "9 o'clock" position.
Replace seal (6).

Remove oil pump housing (2), oil pump gear (driven) (4) and oil pump gear (driving) (5).

Only when exchanging transmission or retrofitting a power take-off (1).

 Installation:
The spring pin (3) for locking the oil pump housing (2) must engage in the blind hole in the transmission housing.
Otherwise; the oil pump housing (2) will be twisted during installation, and the transmission may be damaged.

 Installation: The markings (arrows B) on the oil pump gears (4, 5) must point toward the transmission (7). Lubricate oil pump gears (4, 5).

Install in the reverse order

Pour in transmission oil and correct transmission oil level.


