Do not open cooling system unless coolant temperature is below 90 °C. Open cap slowly and release the pressure. Do not pour coolant into beverage containers.

Remove/install

Remove voltage of high-voltage on-board electrical system.

Remove axle drive module.

Remove high-voltage battery.

Remove heat exchanger of high-voltage battery cooling system.

Remove screws (1) and remove bracket (2) with the coolant hoses (3) from the major assembly carrier (4).

Remove screws (5) and expose electrical wiring harness (6).

Remove screw (7).

Remove screws (8).

 Screw, rear bearing to front axle major assembly carrier

Remove vehicle interior switchover valve.

Remove coolant hose (9) from cooler.

 Collect escaping coolant in a suitable container.

Seal connections of the coolant hose (9) with suitable stop plugs.

 Record plug

Remove screws (10) and remove coolant hose (9) from the major assembly carrier (4) and place to the side to the right.

Disconnect coolant hose (11) from the connection and place to one side.

 Collect escaping coolant in a suitable container.

Seal connections of the coolant hose (11) with suitable stop plugs.

Remove bleed line (12) and place to one side.

Unclip high voltage line (13) from the major assembly carrier (4) and place to the side to the right.

Unscrew screws (14) and remove bracket (15).

Attach load tilter (16) with engine hoist (17) to the eyelets of the major assembly carrier (4) (arrows).



Remove screws (18).

 Installation: Replace screws (18).

 Screw, front axle major assembly carrier to front bearing

Extend major assembly carrier (4) toward the front in the direction of travel.

 The chains of the load tilter (16) must be under tension.

 The major assembly carrier (4) tilts downward somewhat in the rear area.

Tilt front major assembly carrier (4) upward and extend slowly out of the engine compartment.


Ensure that the movement of the surrounding component parts is unobstructed.
Otherwise they may be damaged.

 Aid of helper required.

Install in the reverse order.
