2 | Detach charge air pipe bracket on charge air manifold and on crankcase land place to the side in the engine compartment | ||

3 | Loosen hose clamp (23) and detach coolant hose (24) at the charge air manifold coolant line | Collect escaping coolant in a suitable container. | |
4 | Loosen hose clamps (8) and detach coolant hoses (7, 9) at the oil cooler coolant pipes | Collect escaping coolant in a suitable container. | |
5 | Loosen hose clamp (4) and detach coolant hose (1) on the coolant pipe (3) | Collect escaping coolant in a suitable container. | |
6 | Remove screw (6) on coolant pipe (3) | | |
7 | Lower vehicle | ||
8 | Remove paneling on center piece in front of the windshield | ||
9 | Remove air filter housing | ||
10 | Remove engine intake air duct downstream of air filter | ||
11 | Remove cable tie (2) on coolant hose (24) and cable tie (arrow) on coolant pipe (3) | Installation: Replace cable tie (2) and cable tie (arrow). | |
12 | Unclip retaining clip (5) for wiring harness on coolant pipe (3) | ||
13 | Unclip retaining clip (16) for wiring harness on bracket (10) | ||
14 | Unclip retaining clip (17) for wiring harness on transmission | ||
15 | Remove bolt (11) and bracket (10) | ||
16 | Unscrew banjo bolt (15) of oil feed line (14) at cylinder head | Collect engine oil which flows out in a suitable vessel. Replace seals of banjo bolt (15). | |

17 | Loosen hose clamp (20) and detach coolant hose (19) at coolant line (21) on turbocharger | Collect escaping coolant in a suitable container. | |
18 | Remove bolt (18) on oil feed line (14) bracket | ||
19 | Remove bolts (22) on coolant thermostat (13) housing | Collect escaping coolant in a suitable container. | |

20 | Detach coolant thermostat (13) housing from cylinder head and pull to the front from the coolant pipe (3) | Clean sealing surfaces on the coolant thermostat (13) housing and cylinder head. Replace coolant thermostat (13) housing gasket. | |
21 | Remove bolt (12) on coolant pipe (3) | | |
22 | Raise vehicle | ||
23 | Pull coolant pipe (3) out of the water pump housing | ||
24 | Lower vehicle | ||
25 | Lead coolant pipe (3) up out of the engine compartment | Replace sealing rings on the coolant pipe (3). | |
26.1 | Detach coolant hoses (7, 9, 19, 24) on coolant pipe (3) | Only when replacing the coolant pipe (3). | |
27 | Install in the reverse order | ||
