1 | Drain coolant | ||
2 | Detach automatic transmission oil hoses on the automatic transmission oil lines (16, 17) at bottom | Seal the automatic transmission oil lines (16, 17) and oil hoses with suitable plugs. Collect escaping transmission oil. | |
3 | Discharge air conditioning system | ||
4 | Remove lamp unit | ||
5 | Remove front end crossmember together with front grille | ||
6 | Remove front bumper | ||
7 | Remove left radiator trim panel (14) and right radiator trim panel (15) | Attached by screws at bottom, inserted at top. | |
8 | Remove charge air hose (18) | ||
9 | Detach coolant hoses (4, 5 ) at radiator and coolant hose (6) at expansion reservoir. | Collect coolant which flows out Installation: Check condition of hose clamps, replace if necessary. | |
10 | Unplug plug at coolant level sensor (3) | ||
11 | Detach charge air hose (7) at charge air cooler | ||
12 | Extract steering gear oil from reservoir of power steering pump with hand pump | | |
13 | Detach hydraulic oil hoses (8, 9) at radiator of steering gear oil | Mark installed position. | |
14 | Detach refrigerant lines (10, 11) at condenser | Seal the refrigerant lines (10, 11) and the condenser with suitable plugs. | |
15 | Unscrew nuts (13) at bracket for additional fan | ||
16 | Disconnect connector of additional fan | ||
17 | Take radiator unit (1) out of the grommets (12). | ||
18 | Install in the reverse order | ||
19 | Fill and bleed steering system | Turn steering several times to full left and full right lock (self-bleeding). | |

20 | Evacuate the air conditioning system, refill it, and then check the system to make sure that it functions correctly and does not leak. | ||

21 | Check radiator unit for leaks | Run engine until warm, switch off and inspect for leaks. |
