Risk of poisoning from swallowing coolant. | Do not open cooling system unless coolant temperature is below 90 °C. Open cap slowly and release the pressure. Do not pour coolant into beverage bottles. Wear protective gloves, protective clothing and eye protection. | |
Danger! | Risk of death caused by vehicle slipping or toppling off of the lifting platform. | Align vehicle between the columns of the lifting platform and position the four support plates below the hoist support points specified by the vehicle manufacturer. | |
1 | Remove intercooler | ||
2 | Remove poly V-belt | ||
3 | Unscrew bolt (1a) and remove guide pulley (1) with washer (1b) | | |
4 | Detach coolant hoses (2, 3) at coolant pump (4) | Check coolant hoses (2,3) and hose clamps for wear and damage, replace if required. | |

5 | Rotate engine at crankshaft in direction of engine rotation until the bolt (4a) is accessible via the recess clearance of the belt pulley (5).5 | ||
6 | Unscrew bolts (4a,4b) and remove coolant pump (4). | Note different bolt lengths. | |

Installation: Install new seal (4c). | |||
