 Warning

Risk of injury to skin and eyes suffering scalding from contact with hot coolantspray. Risk of poisoning from swallowing coolant.

Do not open cooling system unless coolant temperature is below 90 °C. Open cap slowly and release the pressure. Do not pour coolant into beverage containers.
Wear protective gloves, protective clothing and safety glasses.

Remove/install

Remove engine with transmission.

Remove poly-V-belt tensioning device.

Remove poly-V-belt guide pulley.

Remove refrigerant compressor.

Remove the alternator

Release and disconnect electrical connectors (2).

Remove electric line (6) from coolant pump (1) and place to one side.


Do not crush, kink or subject electric line (6) to tension.
Otherwise, the electric line(6) will be damaged.

Remove vacuum hose (3) from vacuum cell (4).

Seal vacuum hose (3) and vacuum cell (4) with suitable stop plugs.

 Record plug

Remove vacuum line (5) from coolant pump (1).

 Clip remover

Place vacuum line (5) to one side.


Do not kink, crush or subject vacuum line (5) to tension.
Vacuum line (5) will otherwise be damaged.

Remove coolant hoses (7, 8) from coolant pump (1).

Seal coolant hose (7) and coolant pump (1) with protective covers.

Seal coolant hose (8) and coolant pump (1) with suitable stop plugs.

 Record plug

Remove screws (9).

 Pay attention to different lengths of screws.

Remove screws (10).

Tighten screws of coolant pump

Remove coolant pump (1).

Remove seals from coolant pump (1).

 Installation: Replace seals.

Clean

Clean sealing surfaces with a clean, lint-free rag.

Seal openings with clean, lint-free rags.

Install in the reverse order.
