1 | Remove coolant pump | ||
2 | Pull flange (1) off bearing shaft (3) | | |

3 | Remove circlip (2) | ||
4 | Use a suitable drift to press bearing shaft (3) out of the impeller (6) and coolant pump housing (4) | ||
5 | Remove cassette-type sealing ring (5) | ||
| Assemble | ||
6 | Oil bearing shaft (3) at bearing outer race with engine oil and press into coolant pump housing (4) with a suitable drift | The bearing shaft (3) must always be replaced. Apply pressure to bearing shaft only at bearing outer race. | |
7 | Install circlip (2). | ||

8 | Heat flange (1) and press onto bearing shaft (3) | Counterhold bearing shaft (3) when pressing on flange. | |
Distance between coolant pump housing and flange (B) | |||
9 | Press in new cassette-type sealing ring (5) | Check seating of cassette-type seal (5) on the bearing shaft (3) and check in coolant pump housing (4). | |
10 | Press impeller (6) onto bearing shaft (3) | Counterhold bearing shaft (3) when pressing on flange. | |

11 | Rotate coolant pump at flange (1) and inspect for smooth running | ||
