Catch the coolant, change it if necessary. | |||
2 | Unscrew the oil filter cap (6.3) from the oil filter housing (6) | When unscrewing the filter cap (6.3), the oil will flow to the oil sump. | |
Installation: Check the sealing ring (6.2) on the filter cap (6.3), if necessary, replace it. | |||

3 | Remove oil separator engine breather (4) | ||
4 | Remove the air intake tube (9) | Remove/install air intake hose | |
Installation: Clean and check the intake tube conditions (9). If necessary, replace it. | |||
5 | Remove the screw (5) from the connection housing | .Connection part of the cooling pump in the thermostatic valve head/cover | |
6 | Remove the oil pressure tube (7) from the oil filter housing (6) | Collect the drained motor oil. | |
Installation: Replace sealing rings. | |||
7 | Remove the oil pressure tube (7) from the turbocharger | Plug the oil hole on the turbocharger. | |
8 | Remove the plug (10) on the heat exchanger (1) and drain the engine oil | Collect the drained motor oil. | |
Installation: Replace the sealing ring. | |||

9 | Unscrew the exhaust manifold mounting bolts (11) by approximately 4 mm and move the exhaust manifold (12) away from the head | Remove/install exhaust manifold | |
Installation: Check the condition of the manifold joints. If necessary, remove the exhaust manifold and replace them. | |||
Tighten the exhaust manifold screws (11). | |||

10 | Remove the screws (3) and remove the whole heat exchanger (1) assembly | Collect the drained coolant and motor oil. | |
Installation: Tighten the screws (1.1, 3). | |||

11 | Remove the gasket (2) from the heat exchanger assembly (1) | Installation: Replace the gasket (2). | |
12 | Remove the screw (1.1) and remove the heat exchanger (1.2) cap | Installation: Tighten the screw (1.1) only after installing the heat exchanger (1) on the engine block. | |
13 | Remove the gasket (1.4) from the heat exchanger cap (1.2) | Installation: Replace the gasket (1.4). | |
14 | Install in reverse order | ||
15 | Check the lubricating oil level | If necessary, refill using the same brand and type of oil, up to the top level. | |
The oil level should be checked with the vehicle parked on level ground. | |||
Under no circumstances should the oil level exceed the top level reference of the dipstick. |
