Danger!

Risk of injury to skin and eyes caused by scalding from contact with hot coolant spray. Risk of poisoning caused by swallowing coolant.

Do not open cooling system unless coolant temperature is below 90°C. Open cap slowly and release the pressure. Do not pour coolant into beverage containers.

Wear protective gloves, protective clothing and safety glasses.

Attach removal fixture for front axle carrier on front axle carrier

Remove bolts on both sides

Installation: First fit all the bolts, then tighten them fully.

Carefully lower front axle carrier with engine

Lower engine with front axle carrier up to a maximum of 80 mm.

When lowering check for unobstructed movement of coolant hoses, air-conditioning hoses and electric cables, in order to avoid causing any damage.

Installation: Guides at the front axle carrier must be inserted into the holes in the longitudinal member.

Pay attention to guides at radiator.

Detach front axle carrier removal device from front axle carrier

Detach coolant hose (8) at oil-water heat exchanger (10)

Inspect hose clamps (9) for signs of visible damage, replace if necessary.

Unscrew screw/bolts (5 and 7)

Screw/bolt, coolant line to crankcase.

Screw/bolt, oil filter housing to crankcase.

Press coolant pipe (3) off crankcase

Do not detach coolant hoses.

Installation: Replace sealing ring.

Raise coolant pipe (3) and coolant pipe (4) for coolant-cooled alternator and push to the side. Pull oil filter housing (2) with connector piece (12) out of crankcase and lift oil filter housing (2) up and out

Immediately remove any engine oil which drips down.

Installation: Clean sealing surfaces, replace the gasket (6) and sealing rings (11).

If oil filter housing (2) is replaced,

fit on existing connector piece (12).

Fit on existing oil-water heat exchanger (10).
