Remove/install

Remove vibration damper

Remove oil sump

Remove/install oil pan

Disconnect the guide tube of the oil dipstick (7) and the bracket (8) in the intake manifold (12)

 Install: Install the guide tube of the oil dipstick (7) and the bracket (8) free of tension.

 Oil pump suction pipe support to engine block

Remove the intake manifold (12)

 Suction pipe to oil pump

Remove the oil pump housing (1)

 Do not damage the sealing surface.

 Install: Clean the separation surface on the oil pump housing (1) and apply a sealing agent. Place the guide sleeve (16) on the crankshaft flange and install the oil pump housing (1). Do not damage the sealing ring (14) when installing it.

Remove the radial sealing ring (14)

 Install: Press the dry radial seal ring (14) in axially parallel and uniformly around the entire circumference. Do not damage the sealing ring (14) when installing it.

Remove the O-Ring (4)

Remove the oil pump unit (18) from the oil pump housing (1) and check for wear

 In case of wear on the oil pump unit (18) or on the oil pump housing (1), replace.

 Oil pump unit bolt on the oil pump housing

Check the crankshaft front flange wear

Install in reverse order
