Align vehicle between vehicle lift columns and position the four support plates at the vehicle lift support points specified by the vehicle manufacturer.

Detach protection against accidental contact and detach electrical line circuit 30 (4) from alternator (G2)

Unplug electrical connection (5) from alternator (G2)

Loosen P/S pressure line on alternator bracket

Vehicles with 4MATIC and mechanical power steering pump

Remove screw/bolts (6) and pull alternator (G2) upwards and out
