Remove cover holder (3)

Loosen poly-V belt (1)

Remove poly-V-belt (1)

When carrying out further operations on the engine or timing case cover, relieve poly-V belt tensioning device (2).

Check belt pulley profile and poly-V belt tensioning device (2) for damage and soiling and replace or clean if necessary.

Check poly-V belt (1) for wear

Fit on poly V-belt (1)


Do not use belt wax or similar products.
This leads to slipping of the poly-V belt (1).

Lay on poly-V belt (1) beginning at the poly-V belt tensioning device (2), see:. Observe the routing diagram.
