Remove/install

Detach rear engine compartment paneling

Detach rear left and right underfloor paneling (4, 5)

3

Unscrew profiled clamp (2) on AdBlue® metering valve (3)

 Bolt, metering valve profiled clamp to exhaust system

Detach AdBlue® metering valve (3) at SCR catalytic converter (1)

 Secure AdBlue® metering valve (3) against falling down.

Remove NOx sensors with controller unit

Remove temperature sensor "SCR catalytic converter"

Remove screw/bolts (6)

 Bolt, rear reinforcement brace to frame floor assembly

Remove rear strut (7)

Unhook SCR catalytic converter (1) from the exhaust rubber mount (10)

remove screw/bolt (8)

 Bolt/nut, catalytic converter hose clamp to diesel particulate filter

Detach clamp (8.1)

 Installation: Pay attention to installation position of clamp (8.1).

remove screw/bolt (9)

Detach clamp (9.1)

 Installation: Pay attention to installation position of clamp (9.1).

Remove SCR catalytic converter (1)

 Helper required.



Clean

Remove combustion and corrosion residue at separating points

Install in the reverse order

Connect diagnostic system, read out fault memory and delete if necessary


