1	Raise vehicle		AR00.60-P-1000RT
2	Remove temperature sensor upstream of the diesel particulate filter (B19/9)		AR07.04-P-0005RTB
3	Remove clamps (2) and detach hose lines (3)	 Installation: Replace clamps (2).
4	Unscrew bolts (4) on transmission bracket (5)		*BA49.10-P-1010-01X
5	Remove screw connections (6) from transfer case bracket (7)		*BA49.10-P-1011-01X
6	Release clamp (8, 9)	 Installation: Check the clamps, replace if necessary. Clean combustion and corrosion residues away from connecting points.

7	Remove diesel particulate filter (1)	 Ask an assistant to help if necessary.

8	Install in the reverse order

9	Check installation position and clearance of exhaust system	 The exhaust system must be mounted free of tension, align exhaust system if required.
 Danger!	Risk of accident caused by vehicle starting off by itself when engine is running. Risk of injury caused by contusions and burns during starting procedure or when working near the engine as it is running	Secure vehicle to prevent it from moving by itself. 10	Test run engine and check exhaust system for leaks
