1 | Detach the battery negative lead or switch-off the master switch | ||
Danger! | Risk of personal and material damage when tilting and returning the engine hood. | Make sure that the tilting and tilt-back area is free of objects and people. Tilt hood and lock it with safety rod. | |
2 | Tilting the engine hood | ||
3 | Remove the hoses (4/5) of the charge air after-cooler | Installing: Check the clamps and hoses (4/5) for condition, replace them if necessary. Do not swap the hoses. The red hose (4) will have to be installed between the turbocharger and the after-cooler. | |
Indications on assembly of the charge air after-cooler hoses. | |||

4 | Remove the holding rod (6) | ||
5.1 | Remove the bolts (7 and 9) fastening the duct clamps (8 and 10) on the radiator (1) | Vehicles with air conditioning. | |
6.1 | Remove the bolts (11) fastening the air conditioning radiator (12) to the after-cooler (2). | Vehicles with air conditioning. Do not detach the air conditioning pipes. Carefully move the radiator (12) away from the after-cooler (2). | |
7 | Remove the bolts (3) fastening the after-cooler (2) to the radiator (1). | While removing the bolts (3), support the after-cooler (2), to prevent fall/damages. | |

8 | Remove the after-cooler (2) | Be careful avoiding damaging the after-cooler (2), the radiator (1) and the radiator pipings and the radiator (12). | |
9 | Check the after-cooler (2) for condition | In case of dirt or damages, repair it or replace it. | |
10 | Check the radiator (1) and the cooling system hoses for condition | ||
11 | Install in reverse order |
