Remove/install

Remove connections of the engine-brake throttle

Remove/install engine brake valve fitting

Remove the air intake hose from the air intake pipe to the turbocharger (1)

 Cover the opening on the turbocharger (1).



Check

Check the axial play and the e radial play on the rotor axle (2)

If there are no noticeable stains on the rotor axle (2) at both sides of the turbocharger, the plays, radial and axial, are o.k. If there are noticeable stains on the rotor axle (2) of the turbocharger (1):



Replace the turbocharger (1) with exhaust gas

Check the control fin (3) and the control fin axle (4) for damage and play

If worn:



Replace the turbocharger with exhaust gas (1)

Check the control unit (5)

If there is a pressure drop:



Replace the turbocharger (1) with exhaust gas

Install in reverse order
