| Remove/install | ||
1 | Switch off ignition and store transmitter key outside of transmission range (min. 2 m). | ||
2 | Remove engine compartment cover. | ||

3 | Remove front bumper. | ||
4 | Remove screws (3) and place upper air regulation system control unit (N142/1) to one side with electric line attached. | ||
5 | Carefully open radiator shutters (4) by hand. | ||
6 | Remove screws (5) and remove lock striker (6). | Bolt, lock striker to cross member/front-module carrier | |
7 | Remove radiator crossmember. | ||
8 | Remove coolant hose (7) from center air duct segment (8). | ||
9 | Remove center air duct segment (8). | ||
10 | Detach electrical connection (9). | ||
11 | Remove screw (10) and remove low-temperature circuit coolant circulation pump 1 (M75/14) from bracket (12). | The electrical connector and the coolant hose (7) need not be disconnected from the low-temperature circuit coolant circulation pump 1 (M75/14). | |
12 | Remove bleed line (13) from coolant radiator and place to one side. | ||
13 | Unlock locks (14) in direction of arrow (a) until fan unit (1) can be removed upward in direction of arrow (b). | Installation: Ensure correct seating in the guides (15). | |
14 | Remove fan unit (1). | ||
15 | Install in the reverse order. |
