Remove/install

Switch off ignition and store transmitter key outside of transmission range (min. 2  m).

Remove high-voltage power distributor in the engine compartment.

Disconnect electrical connection (2).

Remove screw (3) .

5

Remove rpm sensor (1) from axle drive module (5).



Transmission oils (specification 236.24)

BB00.40-P-0236-24A

 Seal off opening.

 Installation: Coat sealing ring (4) of the front rpm sensor (1) with transmission oil.

 Record plug

Check

Check sealing ring (4) of rpm sensor (1) for damage.

If damage is present:



Replace rpm sensor (1).

Install in the reverse order.



Check

8

Perform a leak test in the area of the rpm sensor (1).

 Visual inspection only.
