Remove/install

Remove the flywheel (8).

Remove the engine gas recirculation valve (10).

Remove the rotation sensor (B16).

 Installation: Replace the O-ring and insert the sensor (B16) until the stop.

Remove the starter motor (M1).

Remove the screws (5) securing the oil sump (6) to the housing (2) and loosen the other oil sump fastening screws.

 Installation: Observe the tightening sequence and the recommended torque for the oil pan fastening bolts.

Loosing the crankcase fastening screws is necessary so that the crankcase slightly gives in and do not damage the gasket (4); if necessary,



replace the crankcase gasket (4)

Remove the screws (1) securing the vibration-absorbing pulley (2).

Remove the distribution housing (2).

 Installation: Install the housing (2), perfectly positioning it on the guide pins (3). Be careful not to damage the gaskets (4 and 9).

Remove the gasket (9) and clean the engine block sealing surfaces and the distribution housing (2).

 Installation: Apply a sealant to the engine block and the housing (2) on the surfaces contacting the gasket (9). Accommodate the new gasket (9) on the block and carefully cut both ends so they are-faced with the housing gasket (4).
Apply a sealant (see arrow) to both ends of the gasket (9), at the junctions with the oil sump gasket (4).

Replace the seal (7) at the distribution housing (2).

 Assemble the new sealant with the housing installed in the engine block.

Install in reverse order.
